Parishes recruit and form a team of people to follow-up with people who have encountered Christ and want to discern next steps. Team members may include those who have some training in spiritual direction, counseling, or social work. Accompaniment Team members are connected with those who are ready to take next steps and arrange a one-on-one meeting to ask questions, listen and help the person along the next steps of their spiritual journey. Based on what is discussed, the team member makes recommendations (i.e. participate in Bible Study, volunteer opportunities, healing prayer, RCIA, etc.) and connects him/her with the person in charge of the ministry.
