Fish Fry
Fish frys have been a long standing tradition of Catholic parishes, especially during the Fridays in Lent. It takes many volunteers to have a successful fish fry, so finding a leader who is organized will be key to success. Consider asking different groups and individual in the parish to participate as volunteers. For example, your St. Vincent de Paul Conference or Youth Ministry program could offer a bake sale, Confirmation students or school parents could act as the "clean up crew" and the choir can provide some entertainment during dinner. Use the fish fry as an opportunity to evangelize, build community, and advertise upcoming parish events.
