Catechetical Institute Formation Programs (Franciscan University)
The Catechetical Institute at Franciscan University exists to train and support the key catechists in any situation—priests, deacons, parents, or laity, whether professional or volunteer. Through conferences, online workshops, videos, audio, personal mentorship, and a wealth of resources produced by Franciscan University, students will find new ideas, new approaches, new techniques, and a new confidence to do the work of catechesis. The Institute's offerings are laid out into 12 tracks: Priestly Renewal, Ministry of Parenting, Catechist, Parish Catecheticla Leader, RCIA, Catholic Schools, Culture of Life, Pastoral Accompaniment, Youth Ministry, Campus Ministry, First Proclamation, and Music Ministry. Individuals can subscribe for a small monthly fee to access a library of workshops. Alternatively, parishes can subscribe for a yearly fee to all any individual in their parish to take an unlimited number of workshops. Fransiscan also enters into diocesan partnership to make courses available to ministry leaders.
